Revitro
"We think along new paths. After all, the possible uses of our high-quality granules have no creative limits!"
Glass recycling
Every year, Reiling returns over 1 million tons of used glass to the economic cycle by recycling container and flat glass by type. While the typical use is reproduction of the original product, Reiling creatively and boldly goes looking for additional, new applications: The conventional "From old to new" is supplemented by "From old to different". The "Revitro" product range is the best example of successful up-cycling.
Revitro – granulate insert rethought
Reiling represents best cullet quality; cutting-edge processes achieve best results in terms of purity, fines content – and, first and foremost, colour purity. The resulting granulate opens up recycling options that go far beyond the usual ideas of glass recycling: from decorative use in gardens and landscaping to eye-catching trade show structures.
DECORATIVELY DIFFERENT
Whether a garden bed border or green barefoot walkway in red, a blue design for roof surfaces, or accentuating bedding in asphalts, poured floors, or wall coatings: there are no limits to the applications of our granules with their diverse colour options. Decorative, individual, unique: Creative users will recognise the special nature of durable colours. Targeted use of the valuable material glass will make them stand out from common offers. Unlike conventional bulk materials such as gravel or chippings, Revitro granules are a recycled product that does not consume any natural resources in the process.
Reiling has added glass chunks to its range, supplementing the granulates. These are characterised by a much greater fractions, which makes them ideal for use in gabion baskets that are particularly effective as property boundaries, retaining walls or individual objects. The glass chunks are also available in different colours and permit interesting lighting effects and additional design options due to the transparency of the material.

FAQ Revitro - Glass granulate and glass chunks
True to the motto: Your questions - our answers! We answer frequently asked questions about our diverse range of glass gravel and glass chunks.
Our Revitro glass gravel is a recycled product made from recycled glass shards. These are no longer sharp-edged thanks to the recycling process. Our glass gravel is available in various grain sizes and fascinating colors.
Our Revitro glass chunks, on the other hand, are significantly larger than our glass gravel. The larger chunks of recycled glass are also available in a wide variety of colors and in sizes ranging from 40 mm to over 200 mm.
Both products are ideal for indoor and outdoor design and decoration.
Approximately 15 kilograms of Revitro glass granulate are needed to completely cover an area of one square meter. This amount ensures even and sufficient coverage of the area.
Our Revitro glass gravel and glass chunks have a wide range of applications, such as:
Gardening and landscaping (decorating flower beds, paths, accenting objects, and much more)
Interior decoration (e.g., as vase decoration)
Architectural accents
Eye-catching trade fair constructions
Design of fountains and watercourses
Filling of gabions (garden design)
Grave design
Light reflection in LED or light installations
As a rule, the glass shards are blunted by the processing process in our recycling plant. Nevertheless, the material should be handled with care, as in individual cases smaller sharp-edged pieces cannot be completely ruled out.
The situation is different for larger pieces of glass that do not undergo the processing process. These can be sharp-edged. For this reason, we recommend wearing suitable protective gloves when handling these pieces to avoid cuts.
Yes! Revitro glass granulate and Revitro glass chunks are suitable for indoor and outdoor use due to their material properties. They are weather-resistant and insensitive to environmental influences such as rain, frost, UV radiation, or temperature fluctuations. This means they retain their structure, color, and functionality over the long term.
Revitro glass gravel offers many advantages:
Color variety & shine: Bright colors, reflects light – ideal for decoration.
Light-transmissive: Perfect for illuminated gardens, gabions, watercourses.
Recycled product: Environmentally friendly, made from recycled glass.
Easy to maintain: Weather-resistant, no moss, no discoloration.
Unique appearance: Modern look, ideal for stylish accents.
Harmless to plants:
Glass gravel does not release any harmful substances into the soil.
It usually consists of cleaned, recycled glass – chemically inert.
Possible advantages:
Suppresses weed growth when used as ground cover.
Reflects light – can slightly improve the microclimate for some plants.
Allows water and air to pass through with the appropriate grain size.
What to consider:
Do not pile too densely – plant roots need air.
No sharp edges in direct root zones (with glass chunks).
For raised beds or beds with sensitive plants: use glass gravel as edging or mulch replacement rather than as a substrate replacement.
